The HVAC Industries in Malaysia are in agreement:
  a.  To adopt CSPT Value as MEPS Value.

b.  The HVAC Industries in Malaysia unanimously agreed to improve as per below table:

The implementation of MEPS will not wait for Standards Malaysia documents to be published, instead it will be regulated by Energy Commission circular which tentatively will be by 2020 on voluntary basis.
The testing purpose, only 3rd party report from accredited laboratory or witness test by SIRIM will be accepted just like current practice for COA application.
EC informed that since all has agreed on the rating of the MEPS, this will be presented in EC management meeting. Any feedback from the management meeting will be updated via mail to every permanent working group member. It is the responsibility of the permanent member to circulate the information to other relevant parties in their respective companies.
MASHRAE suggested that for EC to published list of air conditioner that is comply with the Guideline of MEPS for AC>25,000 Btuh since the implementation of this will be on voluntary basis. This will encourage all manufacturer and Importers to take part in this voluntary programme. EC will consider this suggestion as one method of enforcement.
EC informed all that stakeholder shall not confuse between COA application and MEPS. For COA application, the requirement still remains the same.
