The Chairman, En Harun bin Ahmad, welcomed the members of the project committee.

  of the project.
  2. The Terms and Definitions used in the draft standard were reviewed and improved for clarity.
  3. The committee spent a considerable amount of time to discuss and review the scope of the SIRIM Industry
Standard. It was agreed that the standard is to establish test methods to evaluate the healthy purification of
household refrigerating appliances, and similar use.
  4. The Chairman clarified that this standard should be applied to the finished product (refrigerator) where, if
necessary, samples of materials or components can be cut from it for the tests mentioned in the Annex.
  5. Clause 4 was changed to "General Requirements". Table 1 was removed.
  6. The committee reviewed and clarified the requirements in  "General Test Conditions" of Clause 5.1
  7. Discussion was started on Clause 5 "Test Method" - Deodorization rate, leading to Annex A.
Question was raised if SIRIM QAS has the necessary equipment and capability to conduct the test.
However, due to time consideration, the discussion will be continued in the next meeting.
