Report:
The meeting was chaired by Pengarah of EPU Energy Section Dr Shaharin, and attended by Deputy KSU of KeTTHA Datin Dadriyah. The team adopted the MOM1 and Project Manager, En Zaini then gave the update of 2 WGs meeting outcomes.

For Thermaland Transportation sectors, due to the infant stages and no ownership in the past,the team acknowledged that itis a huge task to collect quality data from the industries. Moving forward, the working groups have established the objectives, boundaries and identified priminary data sources, EPU will issue government official letter to industries requesting for data.
For Electrical sector, due to the mature stage, the WG under this sector is tasked to prepare detailed blueprint for the implementation of DSM initiatives with specified targets and measures for the Implementation of a long term DSM program in Malaysia.
During the meeting, the team agreed that:
1. The data base line commencing from 2005 to 2030 (min).
2. Macro Economic modelling is deem not that crucial to implement soon and can be placed under phase 2 due to time and resource constraints.
The chairpersons stated that this is a long process for the Working Groups to get quality data, perform analysis, benchmarking with developed countries and implement policies and initiatives to propel Malaysia forward. It is a neccesary step forward, EPU and government team are appreciative of NGOs for the contributions toward the betterment of Malaysia.
