| Report: | ASHRAE Malaysia Chapter team, led by President Mr Andes Quek, met up with the new Deputy Secretary General (Science) YB Prof Madya Dr Ramzah Dambul and his team at MOSTI office, Putrajaya. |
| President Andes presented ASHRAE’s Vision, Core Values, Mission, Council, Standards, Learning Centre, Technical Seminars & Courses, Articles, Journal, eLearning Web-base, etc, to the audience. In between slides, interesting exchanges of ideas, suggestions and proposals by both sides. | |
| GGAC Chair Chea SK stated that MASHRAE council and members are having close working relation with various government departments in developing Standard and Guidelines. Example such as Malaysia Standard (MS) 1525-2014 with SIRIM (under MOSTI), Energy Commission on EE & EC, Training Guide book and training with SEDA, Refrigerant Phase Out program with Department of Environment (DOE), Fire Department & Occupation Department of Flammable Refrigerant, Standard 90.1, 60.1 and 60.2 with Green Building Index (GBI), etc. | |
| The saliant point from this meeting with MOSTI team is that MOSTI team recognised the technical expertise of ASHRAE Standards and the capabilities of ASHRAE skilled and learned volunteers in delivering high values for the advancement of Malaysia to the develop status. |
