| Report: | Department of Malaysia (DOE) briefed the Industries on Malaysia Rectification of Kigali Amendment (KIP) as on 21 Oct 2021, covered under Article 5 (Group 1) Country. HFC Baseline commences on 1.1.2024 to 31.12.2029, the first 10% cut will commence on 1.1.2030 to 31.12.2034. |
| DOE outlined the KIP: (1) Strategy, (2) Action Plan, (3) Quota Alloation System), (4) Set up Technical Group for specific & priority sector, Sector Investment proposal/plan, (5) Preparation for Cabinet approval, (6) Submission to MLF. | |
| World Bank will support Malaysia KIP by providing funds through Multilateral Fund (MLF) to supports the Action Plans. | |
