  Report:

Update on NUR SEDA Chiller Rebate programme
a) The allocation of 25 million for the NUR project comes from 2 distinct funds.
i. Fund no.1 consists of 20 million from MoF which must be expended by 3 1/12/2025.   Unused funds will be utilised by MoF for other purposes.
ii. Fund no.2 consists of 5 million from AAIBE which must be expended by 31/12/2026.
iii. To maximise use of the allocation, SEDA had only debited from the MoF fund for all projects approved in 2025 so that AAIBE's 5 million will remain fully available for 2026.
iv. Only 11% of the available RM20 million in 2025 was used for the programme. The remainder of the amount “might” be returned to PETRA/MOF. This was not discussed yet.

b) Discussion was held on the chillers submitted/accepted, or which requires further information.

c) As of 13/1/2026 no new applications were received.

d) The next 9th meeting is likely to take place on 20th or 22nd January 2026.
The Chiller rebate program will run from 1 Mar 2025 to 31 Dec 2026.
The meeting discussed on the progress of this NUR Rebate to date and there were not many submissions. It is unlikely that the full RM20.0Mil will be used up by 31st December 2025.  The meeting  discussed on several projects that were submitted with insufficient data to convince the members present to approve it. One is a Medical Center and permission were granted to TL Chen to talk and assist the end user in their submission. The meeting also talked on other new submissions.
