| Architect Ms Norashikin Binti Saringan of MBMB, in her opening introduction, explained MBMB's desire to be a green city that incorporates energy efficiency in all buildings and understands the importance of high energy use for HVAC, for which MBMB welcomes MASHRAE's input and advice. | |
| Other MBMB officials in attendance were Asst Sr Architect Mr Shahnizam, Town Planner Ms Intan, and Asst Society Development Officer Ms Ain Nabila Binti Mohd Aziz. | |
| GBI representatives present were Ms Wan Nurul Ain and Ms Hartini Azmi. GBI presented on their available rating scheme for Green Township, Green Historic Buildings, and other related tools which can assist MBMB achieve their green city agenda. | |
| MASHRAE presented on the importance of proper design, installation and maintenance of efficient HVAC systems to contribute to the benchmarking of Building Energy Intensity as required by GBI. |
